About The Artist
    Shirley Gibson-Langille, was born in Toronto but has lived most of her life in Kingston.

    With a background of numerous Art courses in Kingston, Germany, Actinolite, and Queen's University at Kingston, Shirley Gibson-Langille has achieved her goals to create art for the enjoyment of others, a lifetime ambition which has matured over the last twenty  years.

Her artwork has been exhibited internationally-(Germany), and numerous Ontario locations such as Trenton, Gananoque, Kingston, and other nearby locations in our area.
 
Shirley Gibson-Langille was Founder and first President of the Artists' Workshop of Kingston, in 1960. She remained an ardent member for the ten years of its existence.

During the last two decades, Shirley Gibson-Langille has contributed not only to the creation of historical art renditions of merit, she has also contributed to the oral history of a number of communities within Frontenac and Leeds Counties. By combining Art and History, she has expanded the knowledge of local history with information that would have been lost to future generations.
