IF WALLS COULD TALK
Kingston, Ont. September 21 2005
Shirley Gibson-Langille and Marjorie Simmons are very excited about their new project "If Walls Could Talk". They have been busy this summer recording and painting pictures of the abundant old stone walls and firewalls that are scattered throughout downtown Kingston, Barriefield Village, etc.

Shirley has painted 35 wall scenes so far and Marjorie has filled two albums of photos of the walls. Sound boring? No way, it is a fascinating subject although I must admit to talking to the walls from time to time. Ha!

There isn't too much written about the walls, however the history is all starting to surface from the people with walls in their yards, etc. We will keep you updated as we go along.

Don't worry, we haven't started climbing the walls yet!
